Each night as we sleep, millions of these uninvited pests are also getting cosy in our mattress. What dustmites lack in size they make up for in sheer numbers. Densities of dust mites in the typical used mattress can range from 100,000 to ten million individual mites. Whilst these dustmites themselves are harmless, their dead carcasses and body waste become airborne, this is where the real health issues start.

Dustmites thrive off dead skin cells and body moisture.
